Phase 1 Reflection

When the lesson was introduced, I was very intrigued with what people had to say about language and how everyone has experienced the same scenarios. I was genuinely stuck when it came to writing our own narratives. Originally, I was going to write about the obstacles I had faced when speaking Spanish but I later realized that I also had a third language that I’ve been kind of neglecting, so I wrote about Nahuatl.

Personally, I really enjoyed this lesson because it made me learn more about language and how others perceive it, treat it, and how it creates a community. In the class alone, everyone has been through the same struggle and they could relate with almost everyone’s narratives. This lesson has also shown me how much I’ve grown in my writing but I do still have a long way to improve.
