For this 2nd phase, I wasn’t really that nervous. I’m not much of a talker but having to interview someone was a lot more fun that I expected. It was really interesting and helpful in getting to know my partner more. I feel like it helped my partner to reflect on the memory they wrote about and what else they needed to say with just the right questions to go more into depth about why they wrote that specific memory.

Personally, I always loved to write, especially about a topic that I’m passionate about. I believe that we write in order to express our ideas and what we have to say.

When the lesson was introduced, I was very intrigued with what people had to say about language and how everyone has experienced the same scenarios. I was genuinely stuck when it came to writing our own narratives. Originally, I was going to write about the obstacles I had faced when speaking Spanish but I later realized that I also had a third language that I’ve been kind of neglecting, so I wrote about Nahuatl.
